THE JUNTA-APPOINTED UNION ELECTION COMMISSION (UEC) HAS ORGANIZED OR ENGAGED IN VARIOUS SHAM ELECTION-RELATED ACTIVITIES, WHICH WE WILL REGULARLY MONITOR AND UPDATE ON THIS BLOG.

Most noteworthy activities include:
- UEC demonstrated the use of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) in different townships in Bago region. Previously, UEC organised such events in Yangon, Mandalay, and Ayeyarwaddy regions.
- UEC approved the establishment of two political parties, namely Mon Development Party, and Nyeinchanye Akyosaung (Peace Agent/Betterment; unofficial translation) Party.
- UEC Chair U Ko Ko met Mr. Chen Hai, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar on April 26, 2024 to discuss matters related to the "election."
